Refund Policy

SpanishTax AI follows EU consumer protection law (Directive 2011/83/EU, transposed in Spain by Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007 — Texto Refundido Ley General para la Defensa de Consumidores y Usuarios). This policy explains your refund rights and how to exercise them.

1. 14-day right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)

If you are a consumer (not a business) and resident in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from any purchase within 14 calendar days of the purchase date, without giving any reason. You will receive a full refund.

📌 Important exception for digital content (Article 16.m Directive 2011/83/EU): Once you have actively used a digital service or received a delivered output (e.g., the Pro Audit review report has been emailed to you), you may waive the 14-day withdrawal right. We will not exercise this exception silently — see Section 3 below for specifics by plan.

2. How to request a refund

To request a refund within the 14-day window:

  1. Email billing@spanishtaxai.com from the email address associated with your purchase
  2. Include your Stripe receipt number or transaction date
  3. Briefly state you wish to withdraw (no detailed reason required)

We will process the refund within 14 days of receiving your request, using the same payment method you used for purchase. Stripe processing can take an additional 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.
